Back End Developer

Plexus has partnered with a fast-growing fintech that’s blending traditional finance with blockchain technology. Already successful since launch, they serve hundreds of clients globally and process billions in annualized volume. They’re now looking for a software engineer who can lead efforts onboarding new clients onto their platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage integrations with external compliance solutions, such as identity verification and transaction monitoring providers (e.g. Persona, Unit 23).
• Enhance and expand our in-house infrastructure for customer onboarding and transaction oversight.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end technical delivery for KYC/KYB processes, rules engines, and alerting frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with compliance, risk, engineering, and product teams to transform new regulatory standards (e.g. VASP guidelines, travel rule) into robust and scalable automated systems.
• Contribute to audit and regulatory examinations by ensuring logs, evidence, and data records are accurate, complete, and easy to access.
• Build dashboards and internal tools that support audits, regulatory reporting, and real-time risk assessment.
• Write high-quality, maintainable Go code across backend services.

Requirements

• 2-5 years software engineering experience (Back end).
• 3+ years experience with Golang and GCP.
• Fintech, banking, or payment background (web3 a bonus).
• Based in US, UK, Spain, or Portugal.
