Position: Full-time (Remote)
Term: Long-term
Timezone: until 3PM Chicago Time Zone
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Design, implement, and maintain efficient, reusable, and scalable server-side code using Kotlin, Typescript (for backend development and requires handling a complex central codebase);
- Support production applications including on-call responsibilities;
- Develop robust and secure RESTful APIs;
- Help improve, expand and maintain our acquisition, applicant and customer APIs;
- Design and implement database schemas with a focus on data consistency, integrity, and optimization;
- Optimize and maintain database performance for high-volume applications;
- Work with the engineering and product team to help bring the features on our ambitious roadmap to life for our customers.
- Experience as a backend developer with a focus on Kotlin;
- Experience with TypeScript as a backend developer;
- Experience with React (at least 6 months) - will be a plus;
- Experience with database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc);
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and continuous integration tools;
- Experience with GitHub copilot or Gemini;
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP);
- Understanding of microservices architecture and its implementation.
