Job descripiton:

The Managing Director in Supply Chain Transformation at XCELiS is a senior, entrepreneurial, and visionary leader responsible for expanding new business and leading end-to-end supply chain transformation projects. This professional will combine deep expertise in logistics, planning (S&OP), procurement, and digital technologies. The goal is to position XCELiS as the leading consulting firm in supply chain solutions, delivering measurable value, pragmatism, resilience, competitive advantage, and results for our clients.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development and Market Strategy

  • Manage the financial performance (P&L) of projects in partnership with the finance team.
  • Lead the prospecting of complex Supply Chain projects, from diagnosis to the implementation of S&OP, logistics, and digitalization solutions.
  • Act as the primary advisor to C-level clients (CSCO, COO, CEO), translating their business challenges into robust supply chain strategies.
  • Develop and price value propositions that clearly demonstrate ROI, focusing on cost optimization, service improvement, and risk mitigation.
  • Represent XCELiS in the Supply Chain ecosystem by speaking at events, publishing articles, and building a strong professional network.

Leadership and Delivery of Supply Chain Projects

  • Oversee the delivery of a portfolio of projects, ensuring the application of best practices in demand planning, inventory management, logistics network optimization, and automation.
  • Provide final review and strategic guidance to project teams, ensuring solutions are not only theoretical but also practical and high-impact.
  • Manage the inherent challenges of transformation projects, such as change management, system integration (ERP, WMS, TMS), and stakeholder alignment.
  • Lead and mentor a team of specialized Supply Chain consultants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Identify emerging trends (AI in logistics, blockchain, sustainability in supply chains) and develop new service offerings for XCELiS.


Qualifications and Competencies

Academic Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, etc.), Business Administration, or Economics.
  • Postgraduate degree, MBA, Master’s, or PhD with a focus on Supply Chain or Logistics is highly desirable.


Technical Skills (Supply Chain)

  • End-to-end supply chain expertise: Planning (S&OP/IBP), Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics (Transportation and Warehousing), and Customer Service.
  • Proven experience leading logistics network optimization projects, distribution center design, TMS/WMS implementation, and inventory management strategies.
