About The Role

We’re on the hunt for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to sit alongside our CEO at Dispensed and take the reins on shaping our technical future. 🚀

This Is a Chance To Own The Technical Direction Of Our HealthTech Prescribing Platform, Leading a New Rebuild Of a Solution That

✅ Empowers clinicians prescribing alternative medicines

✅ Integrates seamlessly with electronic health records across Australia, NZ, and the UK

✅ Meets the highest standards of healthcare compliance and security

Alongside this, you’ll oversee the BAU team supporting our Engineering Manager in keeping our current product stable, secure, and performing - while driving delivery of a new, scalable platform built for the future.

You’ll be guiding a talented crew of 10 engineers 👨‍💻, 2 Engineering Managers 👩‍💼, and 4 product team members 📐, steering them from BAU operations into greenfield innovation.

What You'll Own

• Technology Leadership 🚀: Own the tech vision and roadmap, juggling speed, scale, and safety like a pro acrobat.
• BAU Oversight ⚡: Keep our current platform running smoothly, secure, and humming along while the rebuild takes shape.
• Product Development 🏗️: Lead the charge on our prescribing platform rebuild - think e-prescriptions, seamless clinical workflows, and happy patients.
• Team Leadership 🌟: Mentor and energise our squad of 10 engineers, 2 Engineering Managers, and 4 product pros, turning chaos into clarity.
• Hiring & Growth 📈: Partner with P&C to help attract, hire, and grow top talent in order to meet the needs of a fast-growing product.
• Regulatory Compliance ✅: Navigate the healthcare rulebook with ease, keeping My Health Record, TGA, and HealthTech legislation requirements ticked off.
• Collaboration 🤝: Team up with clinical and ops leaders to bring awesome new features to life.
• Innovation 💡: Scout and implement emerging tech to make life easier for patients and practitioners.
  
  

What You’ll Need

• Experience as a CTO, VP Eng, or senior tech leader. 🏅
• Background in HealthTech, medtech, or highly regulated industries is highly desirable. 🏥
• Proven ability to manage BAU platforms while leading greenfield builds. 🏗️
• Strong technical expertise in modern stacks (Node.js, TypeScript, React).
• Knowledge of Australian healthcare integrations and compliance frameworks. 🇦🇺
