Pullman Sydney Hyde Park is seeking a full time People & Culture Executive to join our Hotel team. Our 241 room, Premium 5 Star Hotel is located next to the beautiful Hyde Park and on the doorstep of some of Sydney's most vibrant restaurants, bars, shopping and entertainment venues. We welcome a diverse range of guests every day with a mix of both corporate & leisure as well as hosting and taking part in an array of events, including the incredible (and colourful) Mardi Gras.
Job Description
Reporting to the Director of People & Culture you will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the People & Culture function for the Hotel. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for driving and fostering a positive work environment across the Hotel, and will work closely with our leadership team to deliver a broad range of People & Culture functions.
In this role you will work alongside our leaders supporting them in end to end recruitment and will provide support and coaching on people management skills such as performance management, IR compliance and HIGA interpretation. You will be responsible for facilitating and managing our teams learning and development outcomes, coordinating our work, health and safety committee, and will be the Hotel’s dedicated return to work coordinator. Additionally, you will also contribute to the planning and activation of our team engagement activities ensuring our team is celebrated and appreciated regularly.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in People & Culture, ideally within the Hospitality industry. You will have strong knowledge and experience working with HR related legislation including the FairWork Act, WorkCover, and modern awards.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, can juggle complex and competing priorities, and are an effective communicator. Most importantly you will have a genuine passion for people and their success, and will have a natural ability to create trust and connect with our team.
