Your Role: Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer, you’ll play a key part in building and maintaining the software backbone of our payment platform. You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering backend services and integrations that are secure, scalable, and well-documented. From API development to database modeling and test automation, you’ll help us move fast without breaking things, especially in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop backend applications in PHP (Laravel) with a focus on performance and maintainability
• Design and implement APIs and internal services for financial operations
• Write unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure system reliability
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and product discussions
• Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps to support CI/CD and system tooling
• Integrate third-party services (e.g., payment processors, core banking systems)
• Contribute to continuous improvement of our development standards and delivery processes

What you bring:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Solid experience with PHP (Laravel); additional experience with React, C++, or Go is a strong plus
• Strong database skills (SQL, MariaDB) and comfort with data modeling
• Hands-on experience with Linux and command-line tools is a plus
• Eagerness to learn and confidence to work through the unknown
• Interest in secure software development and financial compliance principles
• Problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently on complex challenges
• Professional fluency in English; French or Dutch is an advantage
• Motivation to grow in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
