Lead Java Developer

We are hiring for a Team Architect (Java) role with a product-driven company based in Hasselt, Belgium.

It is a Permanent Full time employment directly with my client and is not open for Freelance / Contract fixed term work options.

It is like having a 50:50 split between Architecture role and leading a development team.

This role goes beyond traditional architecture work—you’d lead the design and integration of backend systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams (including java developers and front-end engineers), and mentor a growing team. A solid foundation in Java (Spring Boot) is important, and familiarity with Analytics or ML concepts would be a great plus.

In this role, you’ll:

• Work on designing and developing robust, scalable back-end systems using Java and Spring Boot.
• Contribute to evolving microservices platforms and architecture.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product owners, and architects in an Agile/Scrum setup.

What we’re looking for:

• Expert in Java (hands on-coding)
• Strong background in microservices and API design.
• Knowledge of time-series/data analytics and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• A team player with a passion for innovation, clean code, and best practices.
