We’re looking for an Experimentation Specialist to join a growing Data/Product analytics and experimentation team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about experimentation design, statistical rigor, and advanced testing platforms to drive real impact.
What You’ll Do
- Own experimentation processes end-to-end: from design and configuration to debugging and results interpretation.
- Leverage advanced experimentation platforms to run and scale complex tests.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to configure and analyze experiments.
- Partner with product, data, and engineering teams to ensure experiments are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
- Share best practices, identify limitations of mainstream A/B tools, and help shape experimentation strategy across the team.
What We’re Looking For
- Deep expertise in experimentation and statistical methods (A/B testing, metrics configuration, debugging).
- Strong SQL skills – essential for configuring and analyzing experiments.
- Experience with advanced experimentation platforms (internal big tech tools, Statsig, or similar).
- Python knowledge is a plus (not essential).
- Background in building, maintaining, or working closely with experimentation platforms is highly valued.
- Experience from organizations with advanced experimentation practices (e.g., leading tech or e-commerce companies) is preferred.
- Clear understanding of the strengths and limitations of popular commercial tools (e.g., Optimizely).
- German language skills are a nice-to-have but not required.
Role Details
- Location: Munich (hybrid, ~50% in-office).
- Seniority: Flexible (Senior to Executive level individual contributor).
- Compensation: Up to €95,000, with limited flexibility (€98,000–€100,000 for exceptional candidates).
Hiring Process
- CV screening.
- Technical interview with team members (experimentation expertise focus).
- Case study challenge (practical and task-based).
- Management interview combined with case discussion.
- Final cultural fit conversation.
Why Join
This is a rare, specialized role in experimentation where you’ll have the chance to make a big impact on how a fast-moving company tests, learns, and scales new ideas. If you thrive at the intersection of product, data, and experimentation, we’d love to hear from you.
