EcoFinance is a fast-growing fintech delivering accessible B2C financial services worldwide. Through brands like Creditprime and Honey Loan, we offer short-term loans, instalment loans and lines of credit via our online platform. With over 5 million clients across Romania, Moldova and the Philippines, EcoFinance ranks among the top ten microfinance providers by loan volume.

We are looking for a results-driven Product Owner to lead the development of key digital financial services within our ecosystem. In line with modern product owner responsibilities, you will articulate a clear product vision, create and maintain a roadmap and backlog, and collaborate with stakeholders across design, engineering, compliance and marketing. You will take end-to-end ownership of the product lifecycle—from ideation and requirements through launch and iterative improvement—ensuring it meets customer needs while aligning with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy: Work with stakeholders to set a clear vision and success criteria for key product features and enhancements. Align the roadmap with EcoFinance’s strategic goals and communicate it to internal teams and partners.
  • Create and manage the product roadmap and backlog: Organize features, enhancements and technical tasks based on customer value, regulatory requirements and business priorities. Balance near-term improvements with long-term innovation, continually refining the backlog.
  • Lead product development and delivery: Work cross-functionally to oversee end-to-end delivery. Define user stories and acceptance criteria, participate in Agile ceremonies, gather feedback at sprint reviews and iterate on product increments. Ensure timely releases and quality by partnering closely with engineering, design and QA teams.
  • Conduct research and market analysis: Understand customer needs, preferences and pain points through market research and user feedback. Analyse competitors and industry trends to identify opportunities and ensure the product remains competitive.
  • Ensure compliance and integration: Oversee product compliance with local regulatory standards and technical integration with internal systems or third-party platforms as needed.
  • Monitor KPIs and profitability: Define key performance indicators—such as product usage, customer satisfaction, adoption, retention and unit economics—and track them daily. Product owners are judged on outcomes (adoption, revenue impact) rather than output; adjust the product strategy accordingly to maximise profitability.
  • Stakeholder and partner management: Serve as the main point of contact for product matters. Keep senior leadership and external partners informed about product progress and risks, host demos and training sessions, and manage expectations. Collaborate with marketing to plan product launches and with finance to forecast revenue and P&L.
  • Iterate and improve: Use A/B testing and analytics tools to test concepts, monitor user behavior and refine features. Continuously iterate based on data, user feedback and business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in the APAC market is required, familiarity with the Philippines will be considered an additional advantage.
  • 4–5+ years of experience as a Product Owner/Manager in fintech or financial services.
  • Proven experience in delivering B2C digital financial products or platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum principles, backlog management and stakeholder alignment.
  • Ability to define and track product KPIs and profitability metrics; data-driven decision making.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills; ability to manage cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Familiarity with product management tools (JIRA, Confluence), analytics platforms and A/B testing.
