The primary objectives and responsibilities of a QA Engineer includes:
- Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for UI, API, and integration testing;
- Embed testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable releases;
- Partner with developers to define test strategies, code quality practices, and shift-left testing approaches;
- Identify, track, and help resolve defects, ensuring issues are caught early;
- Expand test coverage by building reusable automation frameworks and tools;
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure requirements are testable and measurable;
- Champion QA best practices and contribute to building a strong engineering culture.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer / SDET is critical to success;
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, JavaScript or TypeScript;
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks including Playwright, Cypress, Cucumber, Selenium or similar;
- Experience testing AI-driven applications, analytics, or e-learning platforms would be highly desirable;
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into release workflows;
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies (unit, integration, regression, end-to-end);
- Exposure to performance, load or security testing would be highly advantageous;
- Good communication and collaboration skills; you value teamwork and knowledge sharing;
- Clear, confident communicator who is able to talk to technical and business stakeholders with confidence;
- Skilled collaborator – able to work effectively across disciplines and geographies;
- Results-focused, detail-orientated and organised under pressure.
