Key Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining and configuring LAN, WAN, firewall systems and WLAN environments at DATAGROUP as well as remotely at our customers.
- You ensure continuous and highly available operation.
- You carry out troubleshooting and eliminate malfunctions in network environments.
- Error analysis and root cause analysis are also part of your tasks.
- You are also the contact person in 2nd and 3rd level support for questions in the network area.
- The creation and maintenance of the documentation of the infrastructure and IT system environment is also part of your responsibilities.
- You already gained several years of professional experience in the professional support of networks and experience in the areas of TCP/IP L2+L3 and VPN.
- You have very good knowledge of Juniper (routers, switches, VPN gateways) and Fortinet firewalls.
- You are familiar with network management tools (e.g. Nagios, Zabbix, Cisco Prime and Network Nodemanager, etc.).
- Relevant IT certifications, e.g. JCNP or Fortinet, would be desirable, but can also be acquired in the course of your work with us.
- You are motivated to learn new things and to familiarize yourself with new subject areas.
- On-call duty is not a “no-go” for you and you are happy to supplement your salary every 6 - 7 weeks with additional pay.
- You speak business fluent English - both written and spoken / German language skills are desirable.
