Embedded Software Engineers develop advanced components and systems to be able to handle upcoming challenges of autonomy, electrification and digitalization in automotive. They focus on creating environments to process large amounts of data, implement sophisticated algorithms for analysis of vehicle performance, and develop engineering software and tools to support efficient development of next generation vehicles.
Description of daily responsibilities include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Participation in analysis and requirements engineering at system and/or component level
- Design and implement hardware-related software on embedded systems
- Execute tests, systematic test and debugging at component and system level
- Code review and analyze code base for stability and efficiency
- Contribution to system and project documentations
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering or equivalent, and preferably MSc and/or PhD qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in embedded software
- Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English
- Interest in automotive systems
- Willingness to frequent and long-term travel abroad
- Hands-on experience and solid background in embedded software development with programming languages C.
- Knowledge in communication protocols (e.g. CAN, SPI, I2C etc.).
- Hands-on experience in low level drivers (e.g. ADC, DMA, SPI, CAN, TIMERs, PWM, DAC, FLASH, WDG, etc.).
- RTOS knowledge is a plus.
- AUTOSAR knowledge is a plus.
- Working in an Application Lifecycle Management environment –Version Control (e.g. GiT, SVN, etc.) is a plus.
