Qualifications
- Proven experience in PHP development, with a strong understanding of PHP 7.x or higher.
- Hands-on experience with modern PHP tools such as PHPStan, PHPUnit, PHP_CodeSniffer, PHP Mess Detector, or Rector.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially AWS, is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of web application architecture and best practices for security and performance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Upgrade the existing PHP monolithic web client application to the latest PHP version, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Refactor and optimize code to enhance scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Implement best practices for PHP development, including code quality and testing standards.
- Collaborate with the client’s technical team to understand current architecture and identify areas for improvement.
- Contribute to documentation related to the upgrade process and new system features.
- Assist in planning and executing the migration to cloud infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and performance.
- Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship or guidance to junior team members if necessary.
