Job Opening: Data & Analytics Specialist – Hybrid (Vancouver)
Type: Contract or Full-Time
Location: Vancouver, BC (Lower Mainland residents only)
Work Model: Hybrid – 50% in-office required monthly
Interview Process: Must be able to attend an in-person interview in Vancouver
Are you a data-driven problem solver with expertise in Power BI, SQL, and cloud analytics? Our client in Vancouver is looking for a hands-on Data & Analytics Specialist to join their team on a hybrid basis. This role requires strong technical skills, business acumen, and the ability to communicate data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
- Develop and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and T-SQL
- Work with SQL Server and Azure Synapse Analytics to support enterprise-level analytics
- Clean, transform, and analyze data using Power Query and JSON
- Translate complex datasets into actionable insights for business leaders
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support business reporting and decision-making
Must-Have Skills:
- Power BI and Power Query development experience
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, and SSIS
- Proficiency in Azure cloud analytics tools – Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL
- Microsoft Fabric
Requirements:
- Must live in the Lower Mainland (Greater Vancouver Area)
- Able to attend in-person interviews and work onsite 50% each month
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
