We are seeking a motivated Intern – Data Security Analyst to join our client team. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement data security controls, contribute to documentation, and stay updated on emerging cybersecurity trends and tools. This position is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field with a strong interest in data security and incident response.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated Intern – Data Security Analyst to join our client team. This role will provide hands-on experience in investigating security incidents, supporting incident response, conducting vulnerability assessments, and monitoring enterprise security events. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement data security controls, contribute to documentation, and stay updated on emerging cybersecurity trends and tools. This position is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field with a strong interest in data security and incident response.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in analyzing data security incidents: Work with the cybersecurity team to investigate incidents using Crowdstrike and other tools. Help identify root cause, impact, and mitigation steps.
- Support incident response efforts: Aid in coordinating and executing response plans, including containment, evidence gathering, and forensic analysis.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments: Assist in performing regular assessments of critical systems and applications; help recommend remediation measures.
- Monitor and analyze security events: Review event logs, alerts, and reports from security tools to help identify potential threats or unusual activity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with internal teams and external partners to support security requirements and implement controls.
- Documentation and reporting: Contribute to incident reports, SOPs, security guidelines, and periodic reporting on incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Research and learning: Stay current on cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies. Help evaluate new tools and frameworks to strengthen security operations.
