Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Modeler with strong experience in the banking domain to join our client's data engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing robust data models, with a deep understanding of data architecture across data lakes and data warehousing environments. This role demands hands-on experience with open-source data platforms and strong data modeling expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support data integration and analytics initiatives.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Work with large-scale data platforms and contribute to the design of scalable data architecture.
• Develop and maintain data models that align with enterprise data architecture strategies.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across systems.
• Contribute to the optimization of data workflows using modern data orchestration tools.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Mandatory: Proven banking domain experience.
• Strong expertise in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical).
• Experience with Dremio, or acceptable alternatives like Denodo or Starburst.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow and Apache NiFi for data orchestration and workflow management.
• Solid understanding of data lakes, data warehousing, and data architecture principles.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) in the context of data solutions.
• Experience with BI/reporting tools and data cataloging platforms.
