We are working with a global retail organisation who require a skilled Network Engineer on a 6 month contract basis as soon as possible - to provide technical expertise in networking technologies, including Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto, and Azure networking. The successful candidate will work closely with regional IT teams and service providers to ensure network services are reliable, and secure.

We are looking for someone on a 6 month contract basis and whom can be available within a couple of weeks (so unfortunately anyone on 30-90 days notice would not work). Ideally, someone based in / around Chennai.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and manage LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, subnets, and firewalls using Cisco, Cisco Meraki, and Palo Alto.
• Implement and maintain Azure networking solutions (vWANs, VPNs, ExpressRoute).
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and support disaster recovery.
• Ensure network security through firewalls, IDS, and vulnerability assessments.
• Contribute to strategic roadmaps, including cloud adoption and migration.
• Provide technical leadership, maintain documentation, and manage vendor relationships.

Experience & Skills

• Extensive experience with Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto, RMIS, and Azure networking.
• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, subnets, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and Azure connectivity (vWANs, VPNs, ExpressRoute).
• Knowledge of Internet protocols (TCP/IP/IPv4/IPv6).
• Cisco Meraki certification (desirable).
• Proven skills in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and network optimisation.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
