Job Opportunity: Data Scientist – Switzerland
Our client, a leading multinational organisation, is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join their team in Switzerland. This role offers the opportunity to apply advanced data science and machine learning methodologies in a global corporate environment, where insights drive strategic decisions at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy statistical, machine learning, and predictive modelling techniques to solve complex business challenges.
- Build ML models and AI agents for structured and unstructured data, as well as workflow automation.
- Analyse large-scale datasets and present actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, product, commercial) to identify opportunities for measurable business impact.
- Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance with corporate standards.
- Contribute to the development of scalable tools, processes, and analytical frameworks.
- Remain informed of emerging trends in data science and AI.
Candidate Profile
- PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or a related quantitative discipline.
- Strong foundation in machine learning, data science, and software engineering.
- Understanding of AI agent architecture, including LLMs, task-specific tools, and logical decision structures.
- Proven ability to apply advanced research methods to business problems.
- Proficiency in Python for analysis, modelling, and data manipulation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Collaborative and effective in a matrixed corporate environment.
Desirable Experience
- Familiarity with cloud-based data environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
- Academic or corporate research publications/presentations.
