Our client, a leading multinational organisation, is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join their team in Switzerland. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy statistical, machine learning, and predictive modelling techniques to solve complex business challenges.
• Build ML models and AI agents for structured and unstructured data, as well as workflow automation.
• Analyse large-scale datasets and present actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, product, commercial) to identify opportunities for measurable business impact.
• Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance with corporate standards.
• Contribute to the development of scalable tools, processes, and analytical frameworks.
• Remain informed of emerging trends in data science and AI.

Candidate Profile

• PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong foundation in machine learning, data science, and software engineering.
• Understanding of AI agent architecture, including LLMs, task-specific tools, and logical decision structures.
• Proven ability to apply advanced research methods to business problems.
• Proficiency in Python for analysis, modelling, and data manipulation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Collaborative and effective in a matrixed corporate environment.

Desirable Experience

• Familiarity with cloud-based data environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
• Academic or corporate research publications/presentations.
