Description

Client is building a hybrid data and information landscape in which an SAP-oriented platform (with BW and HANA systems) is combined with a modern data platform in the Microsoft Azure Cloud. Power BI acts as a central reporting tool for this. Data is accessed from various sources and applications to these platforms, built up in different data and information layers and integrated with each other. This forms the basis for realizing (advanced) analytics use cases and reports.

To support this centralized data platform, we are organized into one data platform foundation team with a number of domain-oriented data teams.

In this constellation, we are currently looking for a driven Microsoft Azure cloud profile that can strengthen the data platform foundation team to manage and further expand the Azure data platform end-to-end by participating in projects and supporting the data teams in setting up their landing zones. A strong focus is placed on automation and security, in accordance with the standards that meet Client security requirements.

You will also provide support to the data platform foundation team to keep the Azure data platform operational:

• Performing and following up on daily monitoring and "keep it running" activities
• Incident & Problem management
• Following up and assisting with planned interventions
• Follow-up change & release process

Customer - Project Information

Context

You will join a self-managing data platform foundation team of MS Azure infra/data engineers and SAP BI platform experts, within which you will perform the following activities:

• In consultation with data experts from the domain data teams, you will translate functional requirements into concrete platform solutions.
• Based on the data platform needs, you work out the design in accordance with the Fluvius BI regulations.
• You are responsible for the technical implementation within the MS Azure cloud environment.
• You will actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our DataOps practices, tools and processes, with the aim of shortening development cycles and accelerating the time-to-market for data products.
• You ensure the operational stability, performance and cost efficiency of the data platform through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting and optimization.
• You develop overarching communication and training materials, and keep documentation up to date.
• You are responsible for the lifecycle management and updates/upgrades of the existing environments.
• You assist the team in solving technical issues.
• Based on your expertise, you will make improvement proposals within the hybrid Fluvius data landscape.
• You assist data teams in the use of the data platform or provide them with training.

In addition:

• In view of the strong interaction with various stakeholders, a very good knowledge of Dutch (both spoken and written) is necessary.
• Based on his/her expertise, this person must be able to fully participate in the existing team within 2 weeks. Self-organization and great learning ability are essential qualities in this.
