Junior Associate (Internship) – Public Affairs, Tech & Services

We're looking for a smart, curious, and talented Public Affairs intern to join our Tech & Services team in Brussels for a 6-month paid traineeship starting in September 2025.

What you’ll be doing

  • Monitoring and analysing EU policy developments, contributing to the development and execution of public affairs strategies;
  • Focusing predominantly on tech, trade and services, with occasional support required in the fields of sustainability and health;
  • Working closely with the account leads and the team, providing policy intelligence, background research and analysis, and support in the production of materials for clients;
  • Assisting in the implementation of thought leadership campaigns, outreach programmes and organisation of events;
  • Contributing to Weber Shandwick marketing and business development efforts.


What We’re Looking For

  • Proactive, dynamic and ready to learn - Trust us, you will not be bored
  • Curious about EU policy on AI, cybersecurity, digital sovereignty, trade and the environmental impact of tech – Hopefully at least one of these is cool for you.
  • Solid understanding of the EU policy and decision-making processes – previous experience within an EU institution or consultancy will be a strong advantage but don’t hold back from applying if you don’t have that – just expect the learning curve to be steeper
  • Analytical with good writing skills in english; you demonstrable the ability to research and analyse policies
  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of other EU languages is a plus, our office is at 19 languages & counting.
  • Business acumen; not like a fortune 500 CEO level, but you’ve passed level 4 on the logo game

About the internship

This six-month paid internship will take place in Brussels.

You’ll be embedded in client teams from week 1 – You’ll be equipped with a good overview of the consultancy work and European public affairs.


The internship framework is a professional immersion (Convention Immersion Professionelle) – this means you will be developed in a structured traineeship programme and equipped with all the skills to become a consultant.
