The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Operations Directorate (OPS) – Iberia Department (IBERIA) – Corporates and Regulated utilities Division (2-CORP® UT) – Corporates Unit (CORP)*, at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March/April 2025)
(With possible extension up to 6 months if required by University)

We offer the opportunity to work in the unit in charge of lending to corporates in Spain. This is a dynamic and multicultural team, which focuses in facilitating financing for corporates that invest in Spain. The traineeship will allow getting to know the work that is done at the EIB in the corporate sector. It will expose you to a large range of company sizes, sectors and environments, widening her/his view of the corporate sector and improving the knowledge on credit and market analysis, presentation and communication skills, among others.
Responsibilities
You will be performing different tasks in support of the day-to-day job of junior and senior loan officers, which are in charge of the origination and execution of operations. Tasks will be various, ranging from supporting the identification and selection of new potential clients, collecting information on clients and industries, preparing presentations, updating internal data basis and performing financial and market analysis.

Academic Qualifications And Professional Skills
- Final year studies or a University degree in economics, business, engineering or related studies and ideally some knowledge on corporate financing, credit analysis or a relevant sector knowledge.
- Some work experience in a related area would be an advantage.
- Good to advanced knowledge of MS Office software, in particular Word and Excel.
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU language would be an advantage.
