Lead Systems Engineer

We’re looking for a Lead Systems Engineer at R&D UAV Department to drive the design and integration of advanced systems for unmanned aircraft. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering across hardware, software, and mechanics.

Main responsibilities:

• Design and improve system architectures to meet technical requirements.
• Integrate hardware, software, and subsystems into complete working systems.
• Plan and lead system testing, verification, and validation activities.
• Participate in requirement and design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and manage system risks (FMEA).
• Develop test plans, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Monitor systems during missions and ensure consistent performance.
• Manage documentation and configuration control of all system components.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers in your team.

Requirements:

• Degree in engineering (preferably electrical, or related field).
• Knowledge in mechanics, electronics, and software.
• Experience with system modeling, simulation, or scientific computing.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in a leading position.
• Fluent in Latvian and English.
• Bonus: Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
