Company Description

At Sparqle, we’re building the future of sustainable last mile delivery. Our platform connects e-commerce customers (such as Decathlon, Ricoh) to sustainable last mile carriers in the Netherlands and Belgium, helping cities reduce emissions and making logistics more efficient. We’ve just raised funding again, and we’re scaling quickly. That’s why we are looking for engineers who thrive in a fast-moving startup environment and that want to make meaningful impact.

Our software processes thousands of orders every day and needs to be both robust and flexible. That means building systems that integrate with new carriers, e-commerce platforms, and other third-party software. It also means creating tools to handle exceptions and edge cases — whether that’s supporting e-commerce shops when deliveries go wrong or helping carriers run operations smoothly.

Role Description

As a Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll own features end-to-end: from thinking through customer needs together with the team, to building, testing, and deploying. If you enjoy ownership, iterate fast, and want your work to have a direct impact on sustainability at scale, we’d love to meet you.

What you'll do

  • Build and improve features across our stack (NestJS, React, TypeScript)
  • Design, test, and deploy reliable systems on AWS with Terraform & Kubernetes
  • Collaborate closely with the team (but also, customers and carriers) to ship what matters
  • Work on integrations with carriers, e-commerce platforms, and other partners
  • Build tools to handle operational exceptions and provide great support experiences at scale

Need to haves

  • 3+ years experience building scalable backend systems
  • Familiarity with modern cloud technologies (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform)
  • Proficiency with TypeScript and React
  • Startup mentality: pragmatic, fast, and hands-on
  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for shipped features

Nice to haves

  • Experience in logistics, mobility, or sustainability-focused products
  • Experience working in fast-scaling startups

What you'll get

  • Competitive salary + participate in the Employee Stock Option Program (ESOP)
  • 25 paid days off
  • A modern office in Amsterdam, near the olympic stadium.
  • The possibility to do meaningful and impactful work in a fast-growing startup, defining the future of sustainable logistics in Europe

Where we work

We’re based in Amsterdam and work in a hybrid office culture. We spend most days in the office for collaboration and team energy, and some of us work from home one or two days a week for focus time.
