Position Summary:
An international organization is seeking an experienced and driven Network Engineer to support and enhance its global network infrastructure. This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity, ideal for professionals with deep technical expertise in Aruba HPE technologies, network security, and enterprise-scale connectivity. The role involves hands-on engineering, strategic planning, and collaborative integration across global teams, helping to ensure robust, scalable, and secure network performance across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage high-availability network infrastructure, with emphasis on Aruba HPE technologies.
- Support and maintain global LAN/WAN environments, optimizing for performance and resilience.
- Administer network security tools and protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Provide Level 3 technical support and resolve complex networking issues.
- Collaborate with international IT teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of network systems.
- Participate in network architecture planning, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance and industry-standard cybersecurity practices.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Demonstrable experience in enterprise-level network engineering roles.
- Deep hands-on knowledge of Aruba HPE solutions (switching, wireless, ClearPass, AirWave, etc.).
- Strong understanding of network security frameworks and technologies.
- Experience in supporting global/multi-site network environments.
- Proficiency in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and network monitoring solutions.
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
- Fluent in English (Dutch language skills are advantageous).
Preferred Certifications & Additional Skills:
- Aruba certifications such as ACSA, ACMP, or ACCX.
- Additional certifications like Cisco CCNA/CCNP are beneficial.
- Exposure to cloud networking platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible or Python scripting.
