As our Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing smart actuator technologies that make buildings more energy efficient and sustainable.
Your impact? You’ll help bring to life advanced smart actuator technologies that connect software, electronics, and mechanics. Our customers, from system integrators, building owners and tenants, will benefit from smarter and more sustainable heating and cooling systems. You’ll collaborate with product managers, project managers, hardware and mechanical engineers, and external partners, and take ownership of firmware design, development, and integration — helping us move toward a more innovative and sustainable future.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Translate product requirements into clear technical specifications.
- Prepare and execute firmware development plans with the Project Manager.
- Drive external partners, that will in combination with internal team contribute to product development.
- Contribute hands-on as a firmware developer within our platform-level architecture.
- Define and run manual and automated integration tests.
- Participate actively in the full development lifecycle — from idea to validation.
- 5+ years of embedded software development experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software, Computer Science, Electronics, Mechatronics (or similar).
- Structured, problem-solving mindset with ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
- Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Proven track record of deploying firmware in released products.
- Strong programming skills in embedded C.
- Experience in in some of the areas: device-to-device communication (RS485, TCP/IP, Modbus, BACnet, BLE), electric motor drivers (BLDC, stepper), GitHub Copilot, Azure DevOps, Python, Matlab Simulink, secure software development, app development.
- Bonus: any practical experience in building automation, smart homes, or heating systems.
