Role Overview

JOB DESCRIPTION

Flawless industrialization during Programme Launch within a plant. Ensure appropriate cross –functional team membership is in place for all launch programmes in their plant. Assign Launch Managers in a timely manner in line with programme timing. Direct supervision of all the Launch Managers at their plant

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Reporting and Review: Draft project review reports and presentations, including key information, commentary, and recommendations, to support the review process and enable stakeholders to evaluate progress and agree on change.
  • Project Planning: Produce workstream or project plans, ensuring that all activities are identified, are appropriately organized to deliver project objectives, and comply with the organization's project management framework.
  • Project Benefit Realization: Develop and manage the delivery of a plan to evaluate and track business benefits and to identify actions needed to maximize them.
  • Stakeholder Management: Deliver stakeholder engagement activities to support the development of effective working relationships for projects and to identify and respond to stakeholder needs and concerns.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work, and generate new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvements
  • Project Assurance: Carry out delegated activities that support the delivery of within-project and independent assurance reviews to give senior stakeholders confidence that the project can deliver according to time, budget, and quality.
  • Performance Management: Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to improve personal performance; or monitor the performance of the team, allocate work and review completion, take appropriate corrective action to ensure timeliness and quality, and contribute to formal individual performance management and appraisal.
  • Leadership and Direction: Explain the local action plan, to support team members in their understanding of what needs to be done, and how this relates to the broader business plan and the organization's strategy, mission, and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals.
  • Project Resource Management

Qualifications & Skills needed to succeed in this role:

  • Experience: Experience in Mechanical engineering for over 5 years
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English

Skills:

  • Project Risk and Issue Management: Uses comprehensive knowledge and/or skills to act independently with guiding and training others on identifying, assessing, prioritizing and managing project-related risks.
  • Stakeholder Expectation Management: Works with full competence to identify potential stakeholders, analyze their expectations, and develop strategies for managing stakeholders and their expectations. Typically works without supervision and may provide technical guidance.
  • Planning and Organizing: Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on planning, organizing, prioritizing and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives
  • Project Portfolio Management: Works at an intermediate level to develop the strategic plan, and roadmap and manage the strategic changes associated with the portfolio. Typically works with guidance.
