We’re looking for a Backend Engineer with strong PHP experience and/or Go or Node.js, plus solid AWS knowledge, to help us scale our backend systems and evolve our architecture.

• Design and implement robust backend services and APIs (REST/GraphQL) in PHP (Laravel/Symfony) and, where appropriate, Go or Node.js.
• Collaborate with our Tech Lead on a modular, event-driven, multi-tenant architecture.
• Solve complex performance challenges and ensure scalability and high availability as traffic and data grow.
• Build and optimize databases and data pipelines (Postgres, SQL/NoSQL) for scalability and performance.
• Deploy and manage workloads on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Lambda), leveraging IaC and CI/CD.
• Ensure security, GDPR compliance, and data protection are first-class citizens.
• Partner with frontend engineers to define clean API contracts.
• Contribute to monitoring, performance tuning, and scaling of our infrastructure.

• 3+ years’ experience in backend development with proficiency in PHP (Laravel or Symfony) and/or Go / Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudFront).
• Solid understanding of API design, distributed systems, and database architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and observability tools.
• Strong focus on clean code, testing, and maintainability.
• Bonus: background in multi-tenant SaaS, event-driven systems, or community/loyalty platforms.
