We are seeking a Dev Ops Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team! 

The Dev Ops Cloud Engineer is responsible for efficient development operations and balances service reliability and delivery speed. The Dev Ops Cloud Engineer is skilled at using the AWS Cloud Platform to build software delivery pipelines, deploy and monitor services, and manage and learn from incidents. The Dev Ops Cloud Engineer bridges the gap between the software development team and its operations.

This is a remote / work from home opportunity. Ideally, you are local to Winnipeg.

Duties of the role include: 

At Conquest, the DevOps team is responsible for managing all Cloud infrastructure including Conquest Planning hosted environments, internal development environments and internal tools used by the development team – this includes building support for new features, onboarding new customers and system health monitoring and incidence response. The team is responsible for ongoing operations at Conquest including managing the release pipeline and executing regular releases of Conquest’s platform. Continuous improvement and automation of existing processes is a key role of the Dev Ops Cloud Engineer.

This role also has responsibility to scale cloud programs and create/improve workflow processes. Some customer-oriented work is also required. The role requires:

·      Superior written and verbal communication skills

·      A natural curiosity towards learning and broadening your knowledge base

·      The proven ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies, platforms, and approaches

·      Skills in managing and prioritizing multiple projects and competing deadlines

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·      An understanding of, or experience working within an agile environment

Qualifications required: 

·      A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience

·      A minimum of two (2) years of proven work experience in DevOps and/or Technical Operations roles for highly available production systems

Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate experience and expertise in most of the following:

·      Amazon Web Services and/or other cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Heroku

·      Docker and container-based architectures

·      Container orchestration platforms such as: AWS Elastic Container Service, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm

·      Linux and Windows administration

·      Network administration

·      Database administration

·      Continuous integration tool chains

·      Scripting and process automation

·      Secure infrastructure and coding practices

·      Customer support
