Head of Cyber Security

The Company

Our client, a leading global blockchain infrastructure company, is looking to Hire Head of Cybersecurity.

The Head of Cybersecurity will lead the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise-wide cybersecurity capabilities. This role emphasizes secure architecture design, robust cyber operations, and scaling security capabilities to meet the needs of a growing organization. The leader will manage and expand high-performing teams while driving continuous improvement of the company’s security posture.

The Role

Cybersecurity Architecture & Engineering

• Define and implement secure enterprise architectures across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.
• Partner with IT, DevOps, and product teams to embed security into systems, applications, and infrastructure.
• Evaluate, select, and deploy advanced security technologies such as EDR, SIEM/SOAR, IAM, Zero Trust, and cloud-native security platforms.

Cyber Operations Leadership

• Oversee Security Operations Center (SOC), incident response, and threat hunting functions.
• Build proactive detection and response capabilities to address advanced cyber threats.
• Maintain cyber playbooks, escalation processes, and crisis management readiness.

Team & Capability Development

• Manage, mentor, and grow teams of cybersecurity architects, engineers, and operators.
• Scale cyber capabilities in line with company growth, ensuring the function evolves to meet new risks and business needs.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning across the security team.

Strategic Security Leadership

• Translate complex technical risks into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Lead cybersecurity transformation programs, aligning technology and operations with business priorities.
• Continuously assess emerging threats and adjust strategy to stay ahead of adversaries.

Your Profile:

Technical Expertise

• Strong background in cyber architecture, engineering, and secure systems design.
• Proven leadership in running SOC operations, incident response, and operational cyber defense.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, and ISO27001 (with less emphasis on compliance/GRC).

Leadership & Delivery

• 10-15 years of progressive cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and manage cybersecurity teams and programs.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or SANS GIAC preferred
