Cyber Security Analyst
£35,000 – £40,000 | Full-time | 1 day per week on-site in Stevenage (North London area)
We’re working with a growing cybersecurity consultancy that’s on an exciting growth trajectory. As part of this, we have a brand-new opportunity for a Cyber Security Analyst to join their expanding IT team.
This role will suit someone who is curious, detail-oriented, and enjoys problem-solving, with strong technical ability and the confidence to engage with clients. You’ll play a key part in helping the business and its clients stay secure by managing vulnerabilities and supporting compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and manage vulnerability assessments across internal and client systems.
- Support remediation activities and ensure systems remain secure and compliant.
- Collaborate with internal IT and client teams to ensure systems are patched and hardened.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation around vulnerabilities, compliance, and technical support.
- Contribute to internal and client-facing cybersecurity projects.
- Support compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA.
- Stay current with evolving cyber threats, tools, and industry best practices.
- Provide helpdesk support to staff and clients when required.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in vulnerability management and remediation across Windows/Linux systems.
- Hands-on with vulnerability scanning tools and ideally some penetration testing exposure.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and/or scripting/automation desirable.
- Able to prioritise workload effectively, with great attention to detail.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
- Willingness to undergo UK Security Clearance (SC) – must have the right to work in the UK.
- Flexibility to attend the office in Stevenage once per week.
