Role: Project Manager
Location: London City
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Package
Our client, a real estate development and project management company, is seeking a Project Manager to join their growing team.
This role will focus on delivering central London 5-star hotel projects and new build residential projects. The company's portfolio ranges from large-scale commercial developments to private, high-quality residential apartments and hotels, including the next generation of purpose-built student accommodation. This is an excellent opportunity to progress within a small, dynamic, and highly varied property business with plenty of autonomy.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have a background in the construction industry, with a working knowledge of JCT Design & Build, Traditional, and/or Construction Management. They should be a team player, confident in working under pressure, meeting strict deadlines, and managing within budgetary constraints. The successful candidate will be part of a small, collaborative team.
Key Requirements:
- Experience and knowledge of Project Management processes through RIBA stages 1 to 6 are essential.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- A RICS, RIBA, MCIOB, or similar qualification is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting feasibility and viability assessments.
- Contributing to architectural and technical design.
- Managing consultants through planning and construction phases.
- Developing and driving the project programme and critical path throughout the development cycle to practical completion.
- Understanding and managing client expectations regarding Employers' Requirements and Project Briefs.
- Working alongside the QS to produce the initial Cost Plan/Budget and managing the resulting tender process.
- Reviewing and contributing to the building design from concept through to construction documentation stages.
- Playing an active role in the negotiation and procurement of Main and Sub-contractors.
- Managing the design team to maintain momentum on design requirements and meet programme milestones.
- Managing the obtainment of statutory approvals and ensuring compliance.
