Position Title: Senior Front End Developer (React Specialist)

Reporting To: Software Team Lead and General Manager

Experience: Proven experience in front-end development, particularly with React.

Experience with e-commerce, booking, or payment platforms is advantageous.

Qualifications: Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Candidates with substantial experience in front-end development will also be considered.

Primary Purpose

The Senior Front End Developer (React Specialist) will be responsible for building scalable web and mobile applications with a strong focus on modern front-end development. This role will ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems, drive Watermelon Parking’s financial systems integration, and enhance our data warehousing and business intelligence capabilities.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in React along with working knowledge of backend technologies to develop solutions that align with business objectives.

Principal Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web and mobile applications with a strong focus on React.
• Implement backend integrations and services using C#, .NET and SQL.
• Build and optimise data integration pipelines with Microsoft Data Warehousing.
• Develop and integrate custom APIs and financial systems to support payment processing and reporting functionalities (e.g.
•  Stripe).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration across different platforms.
• Maintain code quality, perform testing, and ensure best practices across the software development lifecycle.

Performance Indicators

• Quality and timeliness of delivered applications.
• Effective integration of front-end and back-end systems.
• Positive feedback from team members and stakeholders on collaboration and technical contributions.

Key Relationships

• Collaborate closely with the development team, including Full-Stack Developers, Solution Architect, Quality Assurance Engineer, Support Representatives and Designers.
• Regular interaction with the Software Team Lead, General Manager and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in React.
• Proven track record in front-end development, delivering responsive, performant, and user-friendly applications.
• Experience with C# / .NET and SQL for backend integration.
• Familiarity with payment gateways (e.g., Stripe).
• Strong understanding of scalable software design and integration patterns.

Desirable Skills

• Mobile app development experience in:
• React Native
• iOS (Swift)
• Android (Java)
• Experience with Azure cloud services and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to Angular for legacy or cross-team projects.
• Experience with complex booking or e-commerce platforms.
