Vectiq is seeking a Senior Java Engineer for a federal government client, based in Canberra or Sydney.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Java (Spring Boot / J2EE) applications on Linux.
- Deliver sustainable, high-quality code.
- Improve automated testing suites and support integration/unit testing.
- Work collaboratively in a small multi-disciplinary team
- Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Prepare and maintain project artefacts, documentation, and knowledge-sharing materials.
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Java applications Development
- Australian Citizen with Baseline Security Clearance.
- Strong Java development experience (Spring Boot or J2EE applications on Linux platforms).
- Skilled in service-oriented architectures (SOAP/REST)
- Experience with web technologies (Bootstrap, Thymeleaf, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).
- Proficiency with build tools (Maven), IDEs (IntelliJ), and source control (GitHub).
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (JUnit/TestNG).
