Lead Software Engineer (AI Specialization)

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer (AI Specialization) on a contract basis to prototype and deliver advanced product experiences powered by intelligent AI agents.

Your work will focus on crafting agent-driven systems that unify data from various platforms (Makeswift, B2B, B2C) and partner solutions, transforming how users interact with our products using natural language.

Responsibilities

• Design AI agents to integrate data and partner ecosystems for seamless automation
• Define MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers to connect backend systems like APIs and databases, enabling engaging AI-driven user experiences
• Develop AI agents that automate storefront creation and translate user intent into layouts, components, templates, and configurations
• Deliver AI assistant capabilities within control panels and mobile applications for intuitive natural language queries and actions
• Collaborate with product designers and NLP specialists to create functional and user-friendly conversational interfaces
• Validate critical product features by building proof-of-concept solutions
• Elevate internal frameworks and tools for LLM fine-tuning, prompt creation, and secure task execution

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack software development focused on AI/ML systems
• Proficiency in frontend development with TypeScript for crafting AI-driven user interfaces
• Collaborative mindset for working closely with design teams
• Expertise in programming languages like Python, TypeScript, Go, or comparable technologies
• Background in leveraging LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) for agent-centric AI applications
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and integrating data across multiple systems
• Familiarity with cloud services like AWS or GCP, along with containerized environments such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Strong analytical capabilities for problem-solving and adaptability in exploratory settings
• Competency in effective communication within multidisciplinary teams

Nice to have

• Background in e-commerce platforms or SaaS product development
• Expertise in conversational AI or natural language processing
• Understanding of prompt engineering and chaining libraries like LangChain or Semantic Kernel
• Proficiency in developing mobile solutions for iOS or Android environments
• Flexibility to use rules-based systems, automation frameworks, or AI-augmented tools
