We are now looking for a new talent to join us as

Junior Data Engineer for our Data & Analytics team at Musti Group.

Musti is renewing major source systems while continuing to integrate acquisitions, which means we’ll run some old and new stacks in parallel. Your work helps keep our data reliable and our migrations and integrations on schedule.

What you will do

  • Build and operate data pipelines (ETL/ELT and reverse-ETL) that keep data flowing to our reports and downstream systems.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and recover jobs; improve alerting and observability to reduce incident time.
  • Partner with data analysts on data modeling for dashboards and reports; help enforce documentation and metadata hygiene.
  • Support data scientists with clean, well-documented datasets for predictive and generative AI use cases.
  • Help manage our AWS-based data lake and Snowflake warehouse, focusing on security, cost, and performance (e.g., query/job tuning).
  • Contribute to platform simplification efforts.

Who you are

  • A recent graduate in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems) and/or ~1–2 years of experience as a data/analytics engineer or similar.
  • Comfortable writing clean Python and SQL; you’ve used them beyond coursework (projects, internships, production tasks).
  • Some exposure to production systems and databases (e.g., building/running scheduled jobs, debugging failed runs, schema changes).
  • You think in data models and care about reliability, documentation and good monitoring.
  • Collaborative, curious and eager to learn from senior engineers and cross-functional partners.

What we consider a plus

  • Experience with cloud data stacks (AWS services), Snowflake, dbt, Matillion, or similar tools; interest in data quality and cost/perf tuning.
  • Familiarity with reverse-ETL, metadata management and access/security controls.
  • Experience in retail/e-commerce data, or working in multi-brand/international environments.

Why join our pack?

You’ll have diverse, meaningful work in a growing, evolving business where data reliability directly supports finance, supply chain, loyalty and commercial execution. We foster continuous improvement and innovation, with flexible working hours, a flexible remote policy, and local well-being benefits.

For this position, your main location will be Helsinki. We often have dogs in the office; therefore, the work might not be suitable for a person who is allergic to pets.
