About The Job
- Join Alma, a fast-growing fintech leader, as we revolutionize the Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) market across Europe.
- As our Junior Strategic Project Manager, you'll report to the Chief of Staff and support the leadership team in executing critical initiatives that shape Alma's future.
- You'll act as a strategic support, contributing to high-impact, cross-functional projects while building your expertise across all critical aspects of Alma's operations and growth strategy. You will typically support 2 or 3 projects in parallel at any point in time and therefore get to work with many people at Alma.
- Strategy & Analysis Support | :50%
- Support market analysis and strategic opportunity assessment under guidance. Contribute to understanding Alma's targeted markets, competitive dynamics, and BNPL trends. Assist in monitoring market share evolution across key European markets.
- Contribute to Alma's annual strategy process and Strategic Committee meetings preparation, including supporting the yearly strategic plan development. Help ensure alignment between vision, strategy, and execution.
- Support cross-functional strategic initiatives execution (such as launching new business lines, opening new markets) under the guidance of senior team members
- Communication Support | :30%
- Assist in company-wide communications preparation:
- Support content creation for Alma monthly All-Hands meetings
- Help develop strategic narratives and presentations for leadership
- Knowledge & Operations | :20%
- Support company-wide knowledge infrastructure optimization (assist in information architecture design, help implement ways of working standards)
- Contribute to operational excellence initiatives (help identify AI implementation opportunities, support adoption of productivity tools, assist in standardizing best practices across departments)
Essential qualities:
- Learner mindset: you are eager to learn and grow, not afraid of taking on new challenges and asking questions when needed
- Supportive: you take ownership of your contributions and know how to collaborate effectively. You know how to learn from mistakes and ask for help when needed
- Analytical: you can break down problems into smaller components and contribute to finding solutions. You have a structured approach to problem-solving
- Impact-oriented: you understand how to prioritize your time and focus on activities that contribute most to Alma's success
- Organized and detail-oriented: you work methodically and maintain high standards. You have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communicator: you have good written and oral communication skills and can work effectively with different teams and stakeholders
- 2/3 years in fast-paced environments (startup, consulting, analyst roles, or similar), with some exposure to strategic/operational projects
- Fluent in both French and English
- Previous experience in Fintech/Retail is a plus
