Head of DevOps/Platform Engineering

Head of DevOps – FinTech – Dubai, Full Time

We are looking for a Head of DevOps to join our client, who are a leading FinTech organization in Dubai. As the Head of DevOps, you will lead a growing team of DevOps professionals, creating, implementing, and overseeing DevOps processes, practices, and tools that support their cloud-agnostic, international technology operations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a DevOps strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives and security standards within the FinTech/banking industry.
• Architect, manage, and optimize cloud-agnostic infrastructure solutions that ensure flexibility, scalability, and high availability across multiple cloud platforms.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse, international DevOps team, ensuring effective collaboration, communication, and productivity across different time zones and cultures.
• Oversee and implement security and compliance measures specific to the FinTech and banking sectors, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the release process, reduce deployment times, and improve software quality.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and automation frameworks to ensure high performance and reliability of production systems.
• Work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to embed DevOps best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years in DevOps roles with at least 5 years in a leadership position. FinTech or banking industry experience is required.
• Demonstrated experience managing cloud-agnostic environments, with expertise in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar platforms.
• Strong background in DevOps tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, and GitLab, as well as proficiency with monitoring and logging tools.
• Proven track record of managing and leading international teams, with excellent people management and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving operational challenges.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
