A major European semiconductor company based in Cork which excels in microcontrollers, sensors, and power electronics, with strong positions in automotive, EV, and industrial markets are seeking to bolster their team with an experienced Digital Design Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Direct a team of digital design engineers to create cutting-edge digital products, leveraging the latest research and emerging technologies.
- Guide the full product lifecycle, including concept creation, UX/UI, circuit design, pre-silicon verification, and post-silicon validation to ensure top-quality outcomes.
- Partner with product management, engineering, marketing, and operations to align strategies, drive innovation, and meet customer and market demands.
- Establish design methodologies, optimise processes, and implement scientific approaches for quality enhancement, system development, and new product opportunities.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and resources to deliver market-oriented digital solutions on time and within scope.
Requirements:
- Over 15 years of experience in digital micro-architecture, with deep specialization in areas such as signal processing, automotive communication protocols, or mixed-signal subsystems.
- At least 3–4 years managing design or architecture teams, providing technical direction and fostering innovation.
- Proficient in digital design and HDL capture (Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog), with strong knowledge of bus interfaces such as AHB and AXI.
- Skilled in programming languages like C, C++, and MATLAB, as well as scripting with Perl or Python for automation and development.
- Familiar with Functional Safety (ISO 26262), cybersecurity concepts (ISO 21434), and common performance benchmarks and workloads.
