RINA is currently recruiting for a Security Advisor to join its office in Genoa or Rome, Italy within the RINA Consulting QOHSE Division.

Mission

The Security Advisor supports the Security Manager within the QOHSSE function to ensure the safety of personnel and protection of company assets both in Italy and abroad.

Key responsibilities include assisting with Security Risk and Vulnerability Assessments, monitoring private security services, verifying security technologies, and conducting system audits.

The role also involves managing risks related to employees working overseas through country-specific intelligence and risk assessments, focusing on prevention and critical event management.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the Security Manager in daily operations and security management activities.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures aligned with corporate standards and regulations.
  • Supervise and coordinate security personnel to ensure effective protection of people and assets.
  • Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments for company offices.
  • Travel risk management, employee support on business trips.
  • Manage and oversee physical security systems, performing regular audits to ensure their effectiveness.
  • Monitor vulnerabilities, investigate security breaches or incidents, and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform regular inspections of facilities to identify safety and fire hazards, ensuring protective devices are functional.
  • Ensure compliance with safety precautions, occupational health regulations, and internal company policies.
  • Maintain functional relationships with external security providers and client security personnel.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to address security issues and integrate security measures into existing processes.
  • Manage incident response, maintain detailed records, and oversee security programs to uphold company standards.

Education

Master’s Degree in Political Science or Law

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Political Science, International Relations, Law, Economics, Criminology).
  • Specialized training (advanced courses or master’s) in Corporate Security & Safety Management; Enterprise Risk Management; Security & Intelligence; Travel Risk Management; Crisis & Disaster Management.
  • Basic knowledge of applicable Italian regulations, standards, and methodologies related to Corporate Security and Safety, with a focus on Physical Security and Travel Risk Management.
  • Good spoken and written English skills.
  • Knowledge of additional languages such as French, Portuguese, etc., is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with security platforms for risk assessment and management related to assets and projects is considered a plus.
