We work with companies across industries to build and deploy AI solutions that drive real business value.
🎯 Our approach: We bridge cutting-edge academic research with real-world business impact. Through active partnerships with leading universities and research institutions, we tackle hard technical problems that push the boundaries of what's possible in commercial AI applications.
🤝 Our culture: Full ownership, excellence-driven, high trust (no micromanagement). We go the extra mile in everything we do.
⚡ What to expect: Work at the forefront of AI applications in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
The Role
We're looking for a Data Science Intern who wants to make a real impact from day one. This isn't a typical internship where you'll be shadowing others - you’ll take ownership of a full project, working with real-world manufacturing data to tackle meaningful business challenges.
Your main project:
- Drive a quality control optimization initiative for a manufacturing operation
- Work with real production data from an active manufacturing facility
- Investigate root causes of production failures using advanced data analysis techniques
- Develop and train predictive ML models to anticipate quality issues before they happen
- Present findings directly to client stakeholders and see your recommendations implemented
Beyond your core project:
- Opportunity to contribute to LLM-based platform development projects
- Collaborate with senior engineers on cutting-edge AI applications
- Gain exposure to diverse industries and AI use cases across our client portfolio
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Master's degree (completed or in progress) in STEM fields with focus on Data Science, Statistics, or related quantitative disciplines
- Strong programming skills in Python and data science libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib/plotly)
- Experience with statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimental design
- SQL and database experience for working with production datasets
- Machine learning fundamentals - classification, regression, model evaluation
- Ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights
- Self-motivated and comfortable taking ownership of projects
Nice to have:
- Experience with dashboard creation tools (Streamlit, Dash, Tableau, or similar)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes or industrial data
- MLOps experience - model deployment, monitoring, version control
- Background in time series analysis and forecasting
- Interest in LLM applications and modern AI technologies
Why This Internship is Special
- Real responsibility: You'll own a complete project from data exploration to model deployment, not just assist with someone else's work.
- Production impact: Your models will be deployed in a real manufacturing facility, affecting actual business operations and quality outcomes.
- Client exposure: Work directly with industry professionals and present your findings to decision-makers.
- Diverse learning: Exposure to both traditional data science and cutting-edge AI technologies like LLMs.
- Flexible arrangement: 50%-100% commitment with primarily remote work and occasional client visits in Zurich.
- Research connection: Opportunity to work at the intersection of academic research and commercial application.
What We Offer
- Competitive internship compensation based on your commitment level (50%-100%)
- Flexible work arrangement - primarily remote with travel to Zurich for client meetings as needed
- Real-world experience that makes a difference on your resume and portfolio
- Mentorship from experienced AI engineers and researchers
- Access to cutting-edge tools and technologies
- Potential for future opportunities within our growing team
- Project ownership that you can showcase in future applications
Ideal For
- Master's students looking for a challenging, hands-on internship experience
- Working students who can commit 50%-100% time flexibly
- Recent graduates wanting to bridge academic knowledge with industry application
- Anyone passionate about turning data into actionable business insights
