Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled IT Specialist to join our team at OHANA DEVELOPMENT. The role covers the design, implementation, and support of IT infrastructure with a focus on networking, Microsoft Modern Workspace, Intune device management, cybersecurity, IT asset lifecycle, and CCTV systems. The IT Specialist ensures secure, reliable operations while supporting staff onboarding, training, and enterprise applications. Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Azure AD, and Microsoft Defender is required, along with solid problem-solving and communication skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesSystem & Infrastructure
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable IT infrastructure solutions.
- Administer servers, virtualization platforms, and storage systems.
- Optimize system performance and ensure high availability.
- Manage backups, disaster recovery plans, and ensure data integrity.
Networking
- Plan, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, wireless networks, and fiber optic connections.
- Monitor and optimize network performance, security, and capacity.
- Ensure network redundancy, availability, and resilience.
- Install, configure, and manage network printers, scanners, and multifunction devices, ensuring availability and accessibility across staff devices.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations and topology.
Microsoft Modern Workspace & Device Management
- Administer Microsoft 365 / Modern Workspace tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook) to ensure smooth collaboration and productivity.
- Join and manage devices in Active Directory and Entra ID / Azure AD.
- Provision, set up, and configure desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, including installation of operating systems, drivers, and required applications, as well as basic hardware setup (memory, storage, peripherals).
- Enroll and manage devices through Microsoft Intune, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Deploy applications, security patches, and updates across endpoints.
- Implement and manage identity and access controls, including MFA and Conditional Access policies.
- Support hybrid and remote work environments by ensuring secure connectivity and device management.
Cybersecurity (Microsoft Defender & Risk Management)
- Implement and manage Microsoft Defender solutions (Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, Cloud Apps).
- Monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats and incidents.
- Enforce security baselines, device compliance, and endpoint protection policies.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and produce security reports.
IT Asset & Lifecycle Management
- Oversee the procurement, deployment, tracking, and lifecycle management of IT hardware and software.
- Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and software usage policies.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and documentation, including tracking printer toner usage and supplies.
- Raise purchase requests for IT consumables, toners, and equipment when needed.
- Coordinate with vendors for support, renewals, and upgrades.
User Experience & Training
- Provide staff onboarding support, including device setup, account provisioning, and access configuration.
- Deliver user training sessions and develop guides for Microsoft 365 tools and IT security best practices.
- Act as a point of escalation for advanced technical issues, ensuring high levels of user satisfaction.
CCTV & Security Systems
- Support the management of CCTV systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Ensure secure access, proper storage, and monitoring capabilities for video surveillance systems.
Enterprise Support & Technology Integration
- Provide advanced technical support for enterprise applications.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure seamless integration of new systems across departments.
Governance & Compliance
- Maintain up-to-date IT documentation for audits and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with business units to deliver IT solutions aligned with strategic goals.
- Lead IT and security-related projects from design to delivery.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (master’s preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years in enterprise IT environments, with proven expertise in infrastructure, networking, and Microsoft Intune.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, networking technologies, fiber optic connectivity, hardware troubleshooting, and CCTV systems.
- Certifications (preferred): Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200), Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500), Microsoft 365 Security Administrator (MS-500), or related.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
