Description:
We’re Stackfee, a Montreal-based software agency building SaaS products, migrating legacy systems, and integrating complex business platforms for our clients.
We’re looking for a .NET Core developer who thinks like a systems architect, not just a coder. You’ll work on projects where understanding the full platform and the client’s business logic is as important as writing clean, efficient code.
What you’ll work on:
- Building new features and improving existing ones in .NET Core backends
- Integrating APIs, CRMs, ERPs, and payment systems
- Migrating features from legacy systems to modern .NET architectures
- Working closely with our team to plan feature impact before coding
- Working closely with our clients to understand their needs and to ask clarifying questions
- Diagnosing and fixing complex bugs that require understanding the whole system
Tech stack:
- Backend: .NET Core 8, ASP.NET Core MVC/Web API
- Frontend: Blazor, React, or Angular (we use all in different projects)
- Database: SQL Server (Azure SQL), PostgreSQL
- Infrastructure: Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL
- Integrations: Stripe, Twilio, HubSpot, Acumatica, other 3rd-party APIs
We’re looking for someone who:
- Can read a codebase and quickly grasp how modules fit together
- Understands domain logic and platform dependencies before making changes
- Writes maintainable, testable C# code
- Uses Git properly (branching, PRs, meaningful commits)
- Communicates clearly in English and is comfortable asking clarifying questions to clients
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience in multi-tenant SaaS architectures
- Worked in agency or consulting environments
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of legacy-to-modern migration strategies
Why work with us:
- Direct collaboration with the founder/CTO — no layers of bureaucracy
- Interesting mix of client industries and problem spaces
- Fully remote with flexible hours
