Title: Senior Cyber Controls Assurance Analyst
Start Date: October 6, 2025
End Date: April 5, 2026
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – in office at least 3 times a week)
Department: Cyber Controls Assurance, Global IT Risk
Contract Duration: 6 months
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, some collaboration with UK-based teams may be required
Overtime: Occasionally, depending on project needs
About the Role
As a Senior Cyber Controls Assurance Analyst, you will provide IT Security expertise and perform Cyber Control assessments for application and infrastructure initiatives. You will partner with stakeholders across the organization to evaluate security controls, identify risks, and ensure compliance with enterprise-wide security standards and policies.
You will serve as a subject matter expert, participating in reviews, walkthroughs, and workshops, while guiding business and IT partners on security expectations.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct in-depth IT/Cyber Control assessments of applications and infrastructure assets
- Lead and participate in security review discussions, walkthroughs, and security workshops
- Assess logical controls to ensure secure design and implementation of technology solutions
- Provide ad hoc expert guidance to stakeholders on security risks and mitigation strategies
- Facilitate group meetings with technical and business stakeholders to drive decision-making
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cyber Security, or a related discipline
- Professional certifications: CISSP, CRISC, CISA, or CCSP
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Information Security, Risk, or Control Assessments
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services or consulting (multi-industry acceptable)
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage all levels of the organization
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Knowledge of ISO 27002, PCI DSS, SWIFT CSP
- 8–10 years of overall experience in Information Security
- Familiarity with compliance, audit, and privacy regulations
