Role Description
The Application Scientist’s primary role is to work closely with Scigilian customers to analyze and understand their requirements in order to design, implement and integrate Scigilian solutions to meet customer needs. This is a highly customer facing role and requires deep domain knowledge of one or more areas of drug discovery.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support and train customers on the usage and customization of Scigilian Solutions.
- Gather and develop requirements and documentation.
- Work with customers to ensure proper scientific customer service is being delivered.
- Work closely with the development team to suggest and contribute to upcoming features.
- Assist in pilot deployment and configuration of the Scigilian suite.
- Work with the project team to develop User Experience guidelines and ensure they are followed.
- Work with the development team to ensure systems meet quality assurance criteria.
Qualifications
- Technical support, training, and troubleshooting expertise
- Strong background in discovery life sciences, with expertise in techniques, protocols, and industry needs
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in customer support, quality assurance and business analysis
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in an agile environment
- Knowledge of software deployment and product improvement processes
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field
- Experience in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry is a plus
