Managing Director – Asset Management
Location: Singapore
The Fund
Our client is a global infrastructure investment fund with a mandate to deploy capital across energy transition, digital, transportation, utilities, and social infrastructure. The fund partners with management teams and stakeholders to deliver superior returns through active ownership, operational excellence, and disciplined value creation.
The Role
The Managing Director – Asset Management will be a senior leader within the fund’s investment team, accountable for delivering portfolio value creation, protecting downside risk, and maximizing exit outcomes. This role requires a highly commercial investor with deep financial and operational expertise, able to translate the investment thesis into tangible performance improvements across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment Case Delivery: Own post-investment performance, ensuring each portfolio company delivers against underwriting assumptions and revised value creation plans.
- Portfolio Oversight: Lead active asset management, including financial performance monitoring, governance, debt compliance, and strategic capital allocation.
- Board Representation: Represent the fund at board and committee level, providing robust challenge and strategic guidance to management teams.
- Value Creation Strategy: Identify and drive initiatives to enhance cash flow, optimize commercial contracts, improve efficiency, and expand into adjacencies or bolt-ons.
- Capital Structuring: Oversee refinancing, funding plans, dividend policies, and capital recycling to optimize portfolio returns.
- Exit Readiness: Position assets for maximum valuation at exit by strengthening operations, governance, and ESG alignment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Provide clear, data-driven reporting to LPs, co-investors, and the investment committee on portfolio performance, risks, and upside opportunities.
Candidate Profile
- 15+ years’ experience in infrastructure private equity, principal investing, or asset management.
- Proven track record of driving portfolio value creation and delivering enhanced IRR/MOIC outcomes.
- Strong investment and financial acumen, with expertise in cash flow analysis, capital structuring, refinancing, and exit strategies.
- Experience serving on boards and engaging with C-suite leadership teams.
- Sector expertise across energy transition, utilities, transport, digital, or broader infrastructure.
- International exposure and ability to operate across multiple jurisdictions.

- Commercial, analytical, and financially rigorous.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at board and LP level.
- Results-driven with a proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities.
- Collaborative leader able to build trust with management teams while ensuring accountability.
