Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure. This role requires expertise in network protocols, troubleshooting, and ensuring high network availability and security.

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliable network operations.
• Implement and manage routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP.
• Configure VLANs, VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs) to secure and segment the network.
• Manage and support network hardware including Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent vendors.
• Participate in network upgrades, patch management, and hardware replacements.
• Ensure network security best practices are followed and assist in incident response.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects and initiatives.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, topology, and procedures.
• Provide technical support and training to junior network staff as needed.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is required.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or support.
• Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
• Experience with Cisco routers, switches, and network security devices.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
• Familiarity with data center networking and cloud network concepts is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with firewall configuration and management (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
• Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible).
• Understanding of wireless networking technologies.
