Summary:

A prestigious AM100 law firm is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Legal HR Assistant to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to support high-level talent operations in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. As part of the Senior Legal Development team, you'll provide critical administrative and operational support across a range of initiatives—from onboarding senior attorneys to managing performance evaluations and HRIS data. Responsibilities for Entry Level HR Assistant (College Grad):

  • Manage onboarding for lateral partners and counsel, including schedules, materials, and HR documentation
  • Coordinate logistics for senior lawyer orientation sessions (Zoom/in-person), including scheduling and materials
  • Support senior attorney performance evaluations by managing system inputs, reports, and reminders
  • Oversee HRIS (Workday) entries for hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, and leaves
  • Provide administrative support to the Contribution Committee in coordination with the Chief of Staff
  • Maintain organized records and trackers to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely follow-up across all processes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of talent-related initiatives


Qualifications for Entry Level HR Assistant (College Grad):

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1+ year of administrative experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong interest in Human Resources or Talent Development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Workday (HRIS) a plus
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills for working with attorneys and internal teams
