ResolveX's goal as a company is to foster empathy. This is one of the ways we do that.
We are not a game design company, we are a mental health SaaS company who builds small light hearted free games for general consumption that follow mental health themes to serve a small distractions for people.
What would the actual day to day look like?
You will probably try a bit of everything to see what you like, such as brainstorming and documenting new game concepts, mechanics, and rules to ensure clarity and alignment with the project's vision. Create and iterate on gameplay ideas through prototypes, gather player feedback, and conduct playtests to refine the overall player experience.
Skillsets or experiences that will aid you:
Passion for Games: A strong interest in video games, knowledge of current market trends, and a solid understanding of game design principles.
Technical Skills: Basic programming knowledge or familiarity with scripting languages, and proficiency with common game design software and tools.
Creative Thinking: The ability to generate innovative gameplay ideas and solve design challenges effectively.
Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively document ideas and collaborate with various team members.
Teamwork: A collaborative spirit and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.

Ultimately, we build and deploy these games for free, and as such this is an unpaid internship, a sandbox opportunity we were are all messing around for fun with this stuff, come play with us!
