Conversational BI & Insights Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Conversational BI & Insights Analyst to lead the development, optimization, and governance of enterprise-wide analytics solutions. This strategic role combines technical proficiency, data storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and governance to deliver high-impact insights across multiple industries including healthcare, real estate, hospitality, and construction.

The ideal candidate will act as both a builder and a bridge—transforming complex datasets into actionable insights and aligning business objectives with scalable BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build advanced dashboards and self-service BI solutions using Power BI, leveraging expert-level knowledge of DAX, M Query (Power Query), and data visualization best practices.
• Develop optimized data models and create semantic layers tailored to business needs, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Develop and maintain conversational BI platforms by using OpenAI, by integrating tools like ChatGPT, Power BI, SAP Datasphere, and custom APIs to support real-time natural language querying and automated insights.
• Build and manage real-time and scheduled data pipelines using SQL and SAP Datasphere.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities such as sentiment analysis, anomaly detection, and forecasting into dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand key metrics, business definitions, and KPIs, ensuring data relevance and accuracy.
• Drive dashboard governance, including documentation, access control, change tracking, and version management.
• Lead the user enablement and training programs, promoting BI tool adoption and data literacy across the organization.
• Contribute to enterprise-wide data governance, quality frameworks, and data architecture initiatives.
• Translate complex business requirements into actionable insights, combining strong technical delivery with business acumen.

Must-Have Skills:

• Power BI expert (DAX, M, embedded analytics)
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills, with the ability to work across SAP Datasphere or equivalent enterprise systems.
• Python for automation & analytics
• Proven understanding of dashboard UX/UI design principles with a focus on usability, readability, and end-user experience
• Work with business users to translate frequently asked business questions into natural language queries and map them to the correct dataset.
• Expertise in visual best practices for BI tools (e.g., layout, color, typography, and chart selection)
• Ability to optimize dashboards for performance, adoption, and decision-making impact
• Skilled in translating complex data into intuitive, interactive visual stories
• Familiarity with human-centered design thinking and applying UX science in data visualization workflows
• Advanced data modeling, ETL, and multi-source integration
• Excellent communication & stakeholder management
• Proven track record in dashboard storytelling & adoption

Preferred Experience:

• Cross-industry exposure (healthcare, hospitality, construction, etc.)
• Knowledge of SAC, Tableau, Qlik (bonus)
• BI & Data Analytics certifications (Microsoft Power BI, Google Analytics)
• Experience deploying AI/NLP solutions in Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, or custom-built BI platforms.
• Experience working with LLMs (e.g., GPT) and RAG.
