Role Description

We’re looking for a Principal Software Engineer to help build and scale the Bixie platform. You’ll design and deliver core services that power LLM-driven features and workflow orchestration, while providing technical leadership across the engineering team. This is a full-time, on-site role in Docklands, VIC.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and implement back-end services for AI-powered orchestration
• Collaborate with product, AI/ML, and platform teams on end-to-end solutions
• Productionize LLM features with a focus on reliability and scalability
• Set coding standards, review designs, and mentor engineers
• Drive innovation in APIs, integrations, and orchestration patterns

What We’re Looking For

• Strong foundation in Computer Science and distributed systems
• Deep back-end engineering experience (Node.js, Go, Java, or Python)
• Working knowledge of LLMs, orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Temporal)
• Track record of building scalable, production-grade platforms
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring teams
